Capital Markets Club

CMC is a student run organization that teaches individuals basic to intermediate levels of investing capital. We believe everyone needs to be financially literate and confident before leaving college and entering the workforce. We also believe that wherever you end up in life, financial markets will affect you one way or another. From financing a house, personal investing, college funds, retirement…etc. As a club we will give students first-hand experience in utilizing dynamic financial analysis tools to research, model, and make investment decisions.

Goals

We plan to examine financial modeling and valuation techniques through simulated investment funds, equity reports, and research.

  • Help individuals learn more about investing in stocks by actively researching potential investment ideas and presenting their conclusions to the club.

  • Engage members with investment simulation games that run throughout the semester.

  • Provide members with exposure to investing professionals through guest speakers and firm visits.

  • Work closely with FMA for networking opportunities, along with gaining real life insights into the world of finance.

  • Create opportunities for members to learn more about financial analysis tools, such as FactSet, Bloomberg, and WallStreet Prep.
